Why should a person be water baptized? Water Baptism is a ceremony that symbolizes the start of our spiritual life, our first act of obedience after we receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Through faith in Jesus, we’ve become “clothed” with Him (Galatians 3:27 “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”). It’s a celebration that we belong to Him and that He lives in and through us. Weare children of God, we’ve been made right with God by faith. We belong to Jesus and have become children of God. Our identity, future, and spiritual freedom are found in Him.
